Eastern Empress introduces two elements that are unique within the Mushq Broadway Winter collection: an embroidered viscose trouser with its own separately embroidered border, and a pashmina shawl, the only pashmina piece in the entire range. The jacquard viscose shirt is constructed across the front, back, and sleeves with a silk neckline and a silk front and back daman border, finished with a silk finishing lace at the outer edge. Wool thread handmade tassels complete the neckline. Where Eastern Empress diverges most significantly is at the trouser: the viscose trouser carries its own embroidered border, a detail that extends the embellishment from the shirt down to the trouser hem and creates a two-piece garment where both pieces are worked rather than just the shirt. The pashmina shawl, finished with an embroidered silk border, brings the highest warmth weight of any shawl in the collection, making this the preferred choice for the coldest formal occasions. The shorter shirt length of this design gives it a slightly different silhouette from the longer kurta-length shirts elsewhere in the range.
